South Shore Regional Centre for Education
We are currently in transition from the South Shore Regional School Board to the South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE). Documents and pages throughout our website will be updated to reflect this change. Many of the documents on our website, such as business plans, reports, long-range plans and financial information, remain current and in effect.
The SSRCE is responsible for providing education to the 59,000 residents of Lunenburg and Queens counties, an area of 5,250 square kilometres.
Regional and school-based staff manage our school system. Staff provide education programs and services to all students, operate and maintain schools, provide transportation, and employ regional staff, school administrators, teachers, administrative assistants, librarians, custodians, program support assistants, computer technicians and school bus drivers.
