Due to many power outages and road conditions, all schools in Lunenburg County and Queens County are closed today. The board office and all work sites are also closed. Board staff began early this morning assessing each school. Eight schools have confirmed power outages and there are other sporadic outages.
As a result of the heavy rain and strong wind late this afternoon and predicted overnight, some schools may be impacted tomorrow (e.g. power failure, loss of heat).
