Halifax, NS – Nova Scotia’s education partners (representing teachers, school boards, parents and administrators) are warning further funding cuts to public education will impact classrooms and students.

BLUENOSE ACADEMY CHALLENGE SSRSB SCHOOLS TO STUFF-A-BUS
It’s that time of the year again.
The students and staff of Bluenose Academy are organizing their annual "Stuff A Bus" campaign and are challenging all SSRSB schools to collect items for their local food bank.
From December 1-14, 2011, schools are encouraged to collect as many items as possible. Children and adults alike may participate. The aim is to bring awareness to the students of the importance of helping those in need.
Each school is encouraged to check with their local food bank to see what items are currently needed; some locations have families with younger children so diapers, baby food, etc. are sometimes requested.
The school that collects the most food items will win the coveted "Stuff A Bus" trophy which has remained at Centre School for the past three years.
Food item totals should be phoned into Centre School by the end of day on Wednesday, December 14.
