October 15, 2009: Site Selected for New Lunenburg School
Education Minister Marilyn More has advised the South Shore Regional School Board that the site of the existing junior-senior high school in Lunenburg has been selected as the location for a new Primary to Grade 9 school serving the area.
In a letter received by the Board on Wednesday, the minister said that the existing site at
Construction of the new school is expected to get underway in mid-2010 and to be completed in late in 2011. Student populations of
Consolidation of the four schools in one new facility was a Board decision following the school review process carried out in 2008 and 2009.
